Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (HIFA) is the only top institution of higher learning in fine arts in central China. Founded by Jiang Lanpu, Tang Yijing, and Xu Ziheng in 1920, it was first named Wuchang Fine Arts School and later renamed Private Wuchang College of Arts. In 1938, the school moved west after being bombed by the Japanese troops. The school settled at Wushisanti, Deganba Town, Jiangjin County in Sichuan Province, after taking refuge in Gulaobei of Yidu and Dingshengquan Temple in Jiangjin County. In 1945 when the Anti-Japanese War was over, the school moved back to Wuhan. In 1949, the school was taken over by Zhongyuan University. Since then, it had been known as School of Literature and Art of Zhongyuan University, South Central University of Literature and Art, South Central Academy of Fine Arts, Art Department of Hubei College of Education, Painting and Mapping Department of Central China Normal College, before it was established as Hubei Art Institute in 1958. Université de Wuhan L'Université est l'une des premières universités fondées dans la Chine moderne. Il remonte à la Ziqiang (autosuffisance) Institut, qui a été fondée en 1893 par Zhang Zhidong, gouverneur de Hubei et du Hunan. A l'occasion de la célébration de son centenaire en 1993, le président Jiang Zemin et d'autres dirigeants du Parti et de l'Etat ont présenté leurs inscriptions de félicitations. La nouvelle Université de Wuhan a été fondée en 2000 après la fusion de l'Université d'origine Wuhan, Wuhan University of hydraulique et de génie électrique de l'Université technique de Wuhan de la topographie et de cartographie, et l'Université médicale de Hubei. Le campus de l'Université de Wuhan a été appelé «la plus belle université en Chine" avec un cadre exceptionnel et pittoresque. L'université couvre une superficie de 2,52 millions de mètres carrés. Ses nombreux bâtiments, palais majestueux, qui combinent les deux styles chinois et occidentaux, sont largement considérées comme étant classique et gracieuse dans la forme. Actuellement, WHU a quelque 52.000 étudiants et 3.600 membres du personnel académique de professeur. Elles sont organisées en onze disciplines académiques, à savoir, la philosophie, la science, économie, droit, éducation, littérature, histoire, ingénierie, agriculture, la médecine, et de gestion. Parallèlement à cette structure, l'université a mis en place six facultés, qui sont les sciences humaines, sciences sociales, sciences naturelles, du génie, des sciences de l'information et de la médecine. Exceptionnellement entre les universités nationales chinoises, Université de Wuhan a cinq disciplines de premier niveau en question qui ont été jugés par le ministère chinois de l'Education comme ayant le rang de disciplines clés nationaux. Au sein de ces grandes catégories, l'université a aussi 29 disciplines secondaires. 17 d'entre eux ont également été évalués comme des disciplines clés nationales avec 6 disciplines secondaires étant classés par l'État en tant que disciplines clés nationaux. En outre, l'université dispose de 28 disciplines de premier niveau et 208 disciplines secondaires qui ont obtenu le droit de décerner des diplômes de doctorat. 296 disciplines secondaires ont été approuvés à délivrer des diplômes au niveau du master. L'université a également 32 postes de travail post-doctorants. En outre, l'université dispose de 3 triples AAA standard national hôpitaux affiliés dans la région de Wuhan. Economie et Management School Honoré comme "l'ancêtre de l'éducation de l'entreprise chinoise", l'École Economie et Management de l'Université de Wuhan (EMS) a une longue histoire. Elle remonte à 1893 sous la dynastie des Qing, lorsque Zhang Zhidong, le gouverneur du Hubei et du Hunan, a fondé le "Ziqiang (Self-Reliance) Institut." Cela comprenait une division du commerce et des affaires et était, dans la pratique, la plus ancienne entreprise établissement d'enseignement en Chine confirmée par le ministère chinois du Commerce. En Janvier 2001, l'Université de Wuhan a établi sa première école de commerce par la fusion de 5 écoles différentes à partir de 3 universités. En Août 2005, la Business School a été rebaptisé l'École Economie et Gestion (EMS) et a été transféré dans un immeuble de bureaux construit à cet effet. Il offre 30.000 m² de bureaux et de locaux d'enseignement qui ont été entièrement équipées avec l'enseignement et des installations de recherche l'état de l'art avec une vaste bibliothèque dédiée à l'économie et à la gestion et une vitrine centre de laboratoire de recherche à l'échelle nationale. Dans ses deux grandes disciplines enseignées en Economie et Management, l'école dispose de 4 disciplines de premier niveau, toutes avec le droit d'attribuer maîtrise, doctorat et post-doctorat qualifications. Il dispose d'une touche de discipline de premier niveau national et 7 disciplines secondaires clés nationaux, qui sont tous des qualifications distingués au sein soit le système national d'enseignement supérieur ou de la province du Hubei lui-même. En Septembre 2010, l'École offrait 20 programmes de doctorat, 25 programmes de maîtrise, 10 programmes d'études master professionnels (tels que les MBA, EMBA, etc), 19 programmes de premier cycle et 7 expérimentale-pédagogiques des classes de premier cycle.
